A bit about Amber

Amber is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified CBT practitioner with over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. Growing up in Gainesville, FL as the middle child of a large, blended family, she has been managing conflict and seeking to understand others for as long as she can remember. She likes to say she was born into counseling.

She works with clients facing a variety of issues, including dissatisfaction with their personal or professional lives, increased conflict in relationships, difficulty managing emotions, fear of being alone, or difficulty dealing with stress. Using CBT-based interventions, she assists clients in understanding how their thoughts about themselves, their relationships, and different life events can affect the outcomes they experience.

Amber prides herself on her dedication to her clients and takes the role of therapist very seriously. To walk alongside someone on their personal journey toward improvement is an honor and a privilege.

  • Amber is a Professional member of the American Counseling Association and a Certified CBT Practitioner from the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology through Udemy.

  • I’m a married mother of two amazing boys and we spend a lot of time together. Whether just chillin’ at home, at a soccer game, track meet (#soccermom, #trackmom), or when we get the chance…traveling! Whether nationally or internationally, we love exploring other cities and experiencing different cultures.

  • What I love most about what I do is getting to witness the moments when a client realizes they can actually meet this challenge. That they have what it takes, and have always had what it takes, to work through it and grow from the process.

  • I love a good story, the more detailed the better. It could be a movie, tv series, anime, book, audiobook or podcast. I love, love, LOVE a good story.
